It’s time for a roundup of what has been happening in the Easy Clean Eats world over the last few weeks.
I got a lot of love at the start of March, thanks again for everyone for the birthday love and wishes. I enjoyed a not so clean birthday dinner at Burger Burger, which was awesome and made myself a Vanilla cake with banana icing.
So, part way through February I decided to conduct a bit of an experiment on myself. I decided to up the amount of fat in my diet and adjusting the amount of protein and carbohydrates. My aim was to become a fat burning machine, I did that for 4 week’s - and I think the only major impact was on my energy levels and performance.
The first two weeks went well and I managed to eat pretty close to my targets, the last two weeks were far more challenging and most days I was way under my fat target, this left me with the feeling that I have nothing left in the tank, not what I want.
I've drawn the conclusion that being fat adjusted is a great way to go, but I don't think it is right for me at this point in time. I want to keep my training at a high intensity which means that I need to hit my food targets every day, when fat is my primary fuel it is going to be a struggle to do that. I think I may try this experiment again when I look at reducing my training intensity.
I've decided that I'm going to readjust my fat and protein targets but keep my carbohydrates nice and low to see how that works.
I've become a little bored with my strength and conditioning training in the last few weeks, I don't feel like I've been making enough progress so I will be switching things up. I have designed a six-week barbell complex to mix things up and make it a little more interesting. I will be posting the workouts every weekend so keep an eye out for them.

Things I’m loving
I love tea and this month I am loving T2 Gorgeous Geisha, it’s a green tea with dried strawberries in it. I love the flavour of the tea and it’s a great as an after dinner drink or a mid-afternoon pick me up. Jay has been drinking the T2 Sencha Vanilla over the last few weeks. Both of these teas are great hot or cold if you are looking for a nice alternative to your normal
