Homemade Falafel - Primal, Paleo, Kid Friendly and Clean Eating

Ok, so I love chickpeas, chickpeas don't love me.

This makes life difficult as the boy loves falafel and loves these homemade falafels, they are a great option for a snack food, most of the time I manage not to eat them but sometimes you just have to say 'screw it, they taste great'.


2 cup onion, chopped

6 garlic cloves minced

2 cups cooked chickpeas

1 cup parsley leaves

1 cup coriander leaves

1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp chilli powder

2 tsp ground cumin

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup chickpea flour



Place all of the ingredients into a food processor and blend everything together so it is well mixed.

Form the mix into balls

Fry off the falafel mix in hot oil, in a frying pan.
