Banana Icing

Banana Icing

Banana Icing - Primal, Paleo, Kid Friendly and Clean Eatin

Icing is one of those things that sometimes I really do miss having, birthday cake just does not seem right without it.  Thankfully (and after much experimentation), I have found a healthy version of icing for my birthday cakes.  It’s simple to make and tastes amazing, I will warn that you do need to be patient to get that butter cream icing consistency and then you will need a lot of self-control so you don’t eat it all before it gets near your cakes.

Banana Icing

Ingredients

1 ripe banana

1 cup butter

2tsp vanilla bean paste

3 tbs raw honey

Instructions

In a medium sized bowl mash down the banana into a smooth paste.

Using a hand blender mix in the honey and vanilla bean paste beat this until it is completely smooth.

Beat the butter into the banana mix, you need to keep mixing it until it is pale and fluffy, this can take some time so be patient.

When it is fluffy, it is ready to use (or eat from the bowl).
