Baked apples - Primal, Paleo, Kid Friendly and Clean Eating

Apple crumble reminds me of childhood (we won’t talk about the lumpy custard), but the thought of a sugar filled crumble just doesn’t do it for me anymore.  This a fun twist on the classic crumble and looks interesting when your serve it up.

Ingredients
4 apples
½ cup raisins
½tsp cinnamon

Worry free crumble
6 dates
½ cup sunflower seeds
½ cup pumpkin seeds
1tbs water

Instructions
Take the top off the apples, core them, and scoop out the flesh, leave 2-4mm of fruit inside the skin. 
In a saucepan, add the apple flesh, raisins and cinnamon, cook over a medium heat for 10 minutes. 
In a food processor, blitz together the worry free crumble ingredients until they are slightly chunky but coming together into a ball.
Add the fruit mixture back into the apples then cover with a crumble mixture.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes at 150 degrees C/ 300 degrees F until golden brown.
Serve with lump free custard or yoghurt.
